5 Summer Date Ideas
I wanted to share some summer date night ideas that would be perfect on a tight budget and still fun! I totally get wanting to go do something fun but not spending a ton of cash!
1. Visit the Humane Society
This was actually one of the first dates I went on, (with my now wife) in the very beginning. I had a lot of fun because I enjoyed seeing the animals and getting to pet them and even feeding them treats. ( The Humane Society would have those for you, don't bring your own). I met a dog that totally won my heart over and even put his paw on mine. I would have totally adopted him if he wasn't already in process of adoption.

2. Go on A Picnic
You can visit your local grocery store or market, ( went to horricks, which is a local market here in Grand Rapids for the first time and fell in love), pick out your favorite foods. You can help each other put it all together and then have a picnic. I love picnics on the beach, at a local park, you could even do one of those summer concerts. I went to one recently at Lamar Park!

3. Take A Walk
You can explore your city, and find new spots to check out all while taking a stroll. Perfect time for holding hands if that's your thing. One of my favorite things to do it check out murals around our city. Grab ice cream or even coffee. It's the perfect time to check out a new place.
4. Build A Fort
Building a fort in your living room, and watching a movie was something I did as a kid and it's even better as an adult. Grab some wine, a redbox movie, or find something on Netflix or Amazon Prime. This would be perfect for a rainy day, or a lazy day.

5. Watch The Sunset
Imagine being with your babe, holding hands, watching the sunset with all those beautiful colors. Running with your toes hitting the sand, and playing in the water even. I love visiting the beach even after dark. It's honestly one of the most peaceful things.
6. BONUS! Have A Bonfire or Make Smores
My wife and I don't have a bonfire pit in our apartment so sometimes we just make them on the stove, but at her parents house, they have a bonfire pit. So we will definitely be using that!! We love using different toppings on our smore's like nutella and peanut butter versus just chocolate.
